Starting today, traveling on STCP transport has become even simpler: all vehicles now have a POS terminal next to the driver to accept onboard ticket payments with bank card, mobile phone or smartwatch.

This new feature represents an important step in the modernization and digitalization of the ticketing system, making the daily lives of passengers easier, offering a more flexible and comfortable way to travel and eliminating the need to use physical money during the trip.

How does purchasing a boarding ticket work?
All those who do not have an Andante monthly pass can now pay directly for the boarding ticket (value of €2.50), by bringing a physical or digital bank card, on your mobile phone or smartwatch, close to the payment terminal installed in the vehicles. The operation is immediate, just like a regular purchase, and is available on all lines of the STCP bus network. Making Mobility More accessible
Until now, onboard tickets could only be purchased with cash or MB Way. Starting this Monday, it is possible to purchase onboard tickets using all contactless payment methods.

This digital option broadens access to the service, making payment simpler, faster, and more intuitive for residents and tourists.

Advantages for the passenger
The new payment method allows for faster boarding by reducing waiting times, ensures greater security by eliminating the need for passengers to carry physical cash, and allows for the purchase of More than just one ticket, for example for a group, since you only need to tell the driver the number of tickets you wish to purchase.

The introduction of contactless payment technology does not replace existing transport tickets. It is merely a new alternative payment method to paying cash for the ticket.
